===== Overview =====

There are multiple ways to watch Plex on your computer.

==== Option 1: Watch in Your Web Browser ====

Open Plex directly in your browser:

This option requires no installation and works from most modern web browsers.

==== Option 2: Install the Plex Desktop App ====

For the best experience, install the Plex desktop application for your operating system:

The desktop application provides a dedicated Plex experience and supports features that may not be available in a web browser.

===== Customizing Your Navigation Menu and Pinned Media =====

Plex allows you to customize the items displayed in the left navigation menu so your favorite libraries are always easy to access.

==== Pin a Library to the Sidebar ====

  - Open Plex and sign in.
  - Locate the library you want to pin in the left navigation pane.
  - Hover your mouse over the library name.
  - Click the **More (⋯)** menu if available.
  - Select **Pin**.

The library will now appear in your primary navigation menu for quick access.

==== Unpin a Library ====

  - Find the pinned library in the left navigation menu.
  - Click the **More (⋯)** menu next to the library.
  - Select **Unpin**.

The library will be removed from your pinned navigation items but will remain available on the server.

==== Reorder Pinned Libraries ====

  - In the left navigation menu, click and hold a pinned library.
  - Drag the library to the desired position.
  - Release the mouse button to save the new order.

Your pinned items will appear in the order you choose.

==== Recommended Setup ====

For the easiest experience, consider unpinning everything there by default and pinning the following items from TheMasalaPot:

  * Anime
  * Comedy Specials
  * Documentaries (both short and long form)
  * Movies
  * TV Shows

This keeps your most-used content visible and minimizes navigation through menus. Don'tforget to reorder them to your liking!
